We are still making steady progress on the events and schedule for PartyCon 2017, but I don’t have any blockbuster announcements to make at the moment. However, I did want to note that about 20% of the vendor tables have already been sold. So, if you want a vendor table, it might be a good idea to put in your order early. (Note: We still have plenty of artist alley tables.)
Some other things to think about:
- We are in discussions with a couple of groups to set up miniature wargaming tables, particularly for Warhammer 40,000. I will hopefully have some more details on this soon, but I would love to get some feedback on just how many people would be interested in playing pick-up games and in tournaments. I know several people asked me about this last year, and I know there are a lot of game groups in the Lehigh Valley, so don’t be shy with your thoughts.
- We were considering having a custom toy/action figure display and contest. Let me know if anyone is interested in participating in this.
- We are very excited about SPICE Day, the Small Press and Independent Creator’s Expo, on day 1 of PartyCon. I would like to hear some ideas about the kind of programming that indy creators and fans alike want to see. What panel topics would you like to see? Are you interested in hands-on workshops? If creators have panels they’d like to present, or want to participate in 15-30 minute sample readings or introductions of their works, please let us know as soon as possible.
- I have substantially expanded my Nerf and BuzzBee blaster arsenal since last year. In addition, we’ve laid out a much more interesting foam battle arena. If you have any thoughts on scenarios you’d like us to run, or variations of the duels we ran last year (archery contests, maybe?), let us know.
